Junk Removal in Old Town Spring
Where Spring started: a trading post on Spring Creek, then a railroad town, now a district of shops in historic buildings around Spring-Cypress and Hardy roads.
The History, Briefly
The Handbook of Texas dates a trading post on Spring Creek to 1838 and the railroad to 1871. In 1980 the Old Town Spring Association formed to turn the old houses into shops, and by 1989 there were more than 80 of them. Old Town Spring sits at the intersection of Spring-Cypress and Hardy roads.

Why Jobs Here Are Different
Most of the rest of Spring is subdivisions with driveways and garages. Old Town Spring is small buildings, narrow lots and street parking, many of them shops. That changes the job: a truck may not be able to back up to the door, loading may have to happen outside business hours, and old buildings have tight doors and steps.
Shop fixtures, display furniture and back-room storage are the usual loads. The residential streets around the district have older houses where the garage-first order still applies, but garages are smaller or absent, so the driveway or yard becomes the staging area.
