Junk Removal in Gleannloch Farms, Spring
A former Arabian horse farm turned into a large planned community, with its own utility districts and posted curbside limits that are worth knowing before calling anyone.
From Horse Farm to Neighborhood
Gleannloch Farms began as an Arabian horse farm in the 1950s, and its equestrian center on Champion Forest Drive keeps the original stables. The community association counts about 3,200 homes, and HAR notes a 27-hole golf course. Homes are served by Harris County MUD 383 and MUD 367.

The Posted Curb Limits
| District | Bulk items | Limbs and yard waste | Other |
|---|---|---|---|
| Harris County MUD 383 | Furniture, appliances, mattresses: 2 items per day | Limbs tied and bundled, 4 ft, 4 in, 40 lb, 5 bundles a day; bags 30 lb, 5 a day | Refrigerated appliances must be drained with proof of service; construction debris excluded |
| Harris County MUD 367 | Heavy trash Monday and Thursday, no more than 2 large items at a time (posted May 2, 2022) | Not stated in that notice |
Two large items a day covers a single sofa. It does not cover a garage, an estate or a remodel. That gap is where a hauler comes in.

What Gleannloch Calls Tend to Be
Where a house is two stories, furniture and mattress jobs involve stairs, which is worth saying on the call. A move usually means a garage clear and a round of furniture, both past a two-item limit. After storms, limbs beyond the five-bundle limit are the other common request.
